Bridging Two Communities

Get to know your neighbors! Parents and supporters of the Arlington METCO program are having a meet and greet. Organized by Arlington METCO and Superintendent's Diversity Advisory Committee.
Arlington Public Schools has participated in the METCO program since its founding in 1966. The program provides Arlington students and staff an opportunity to interact with many students of color and to benefit from a culturally diverse learning environment.
Address: 140-150 Warren Street in Roxbury RSVP by 1/11 for a dinner plate. Bring a dessert! or juices! Carpools may be available. More info: Margaret Thomas
Hardy Movie Night!
Friday, Jan 20th - Movie at 6:30p
This is a fun event where everyone is welcome. The movie is Dolphin's Tale. Cost to enter the “movie theater”, our school gym, is $1 (unless you're a benefactor—it's not too late to get your check in!). There will be water bottles and popcorn also available for $1 each. Please bring blankets to sit on and feel free to come in pjs.

If you have kids looking to… ~ sing ~ dance on stage ~ play their instrument ~ (or simply make us laugh)
Where: Arlington Town Hall When: February 10th at 6:30 pm (with rehearsals at Hardy on 1/31, 2/2, and 2/8) Who: Hardy kids (as individuals, in groups, or with a parent or alumni sibling) What: Almost anything. Be creative and come up with something fun. Individuals, groups, parents and kids, alumni with their younger Hardy siblings are all welcome to perform. Sign up!: via the talent sign-up genius link.
We also need audience members so mark your calendars. It’s sure to be a wonderful evening of entertainment. Tickets will be on sale at the door. Cost: free for kids, $3 per adult
Hardy Silent Auction
Saturday, March 4th at 7:00p
Join us for a fun adult-only parents night out at the Hardy Silent Auction. All proceeds will go towards funding overhead classroom technology.

A Holiday Help thank you!
We did it!
Thank you holiday helpers for making the Holiday Help Program so successful. We delivered a total of 115 gifts and 5 gift wrapping sets for nine families.
The city organizer sent a thank you - Your generiosity keeps the holiday spirit alive for those of us who coordinate this program and we hope it gives you the same warm feeling from knowing you've helped people in your community.

Hardy parents Sarah Evans and Bruce Macindoe have been working hard to design these beautiful 100% cotton hoodies for children and adults.
These sweatshirts are available for purchase online here. Hoodies are $25 each and run a bit small, so order a size up…better to have room to grow!
