Hardy School Playground
Safe fun for all is our most important goal. Your play should consider the needs of the people around you. The Hardy community observes the following rules to make our playground safe:
- Play equipment brought from home may be used during classroom recess at teacher’s discretion.
- Wheels of any kind cannot be used on the playground before, during or after school.
- Standing on top of climbing structures is unsafe and not permitted.
- Slides go in one direction – down.
- Never run behind, between, or in front of swings.
- Get off swings carefully without jumping.
- Dodge ball-type games are not allowed.
- No bats of any kind can be used on school grounds.
Snow
- Keep off the snow banks during lunch recess.
- Throwing snowballs is never allowed.
Kindergarten Area
- This area is for use by kindergarteners and first graders. Older students must stay off this area when younger students are present.
Finally...
- If you think your activity might hurt someone, it is probably not a good choice.
- If you feel unsafe or uncomfortable when playing in our playground, tell an adult.
