With two weeks under our belts, I wanted to thank all of you for making the beginning of the school year a great one.
Your children are settling in to the routines of their classrooms very quickly. The morning arrival has gone very well. I appreciate families understanding why it is important to say goodbye to their children at the door. I have had a few parents come and speak with me about separation challenges. Please continue to do so if the need be.
My plan is to have a DeFrancisco's Declarations out to you at the end of each month. I did want to remind everyone of a few things.
Picture Day is October 1st
Open House is October 8th beginning at 6:30 p.m.
EVERY Tuesday is a 1:00 p.m. dismissal and lunch is served
Kid Zone classes begin the week of September 21st
Go Lingo begins September 28th
TUESDAY DISMISSAL: We are all getting used to this new routine. I am dismissing two grade levels at 1:00 that require some extra planning. Third grade is being dismissed from the lunch room and will meet their families out in the playground. FIRST GRADE is being dismissed from the playground. Many parents come to pick up their children early. The first graders will be playing until 1:00 and then will be asked to line up with their teachers to be dismissed. Please do not take your first grader home before he or she has checked out with his or her teacher. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
I hope to see many of you Out and About at the ice cream social this evening. Have a wonderful weekend.
