Hardy PTO Post - the weekly newsletter from the Hardy PTO!

Monday, March 15, 2010 Volume 1, Issue 23

Just a reminder in all this RAIN!!! We know that no one likes to get wet or stand in the rain, but we need to remind all that there is ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING ALLOWED in our lot by anyone other than staff at any time between the hours of 7:30 AM and 3:30 PM. This includes "live" parking for picking up students at the end of the day. The only exception is for authorized use of the two handicap spaces. To facilitate the enforcement of this safety rule, the fifth graders will be placing cones at the entrance of the parking lot at 1:45 PM. They will be placed to allow access to our two handicap spaces only. The cones will remain in place until 3:30 PM. This will serve as a reminder to all that the parking lot is off limits. Please also remember that the circular drive in front of our entrance is for buses and delivery vehicles only. Thanks.

Important Information

Gardening Supplies Needed
From now on the garden committee will be  extremely busy coordinating students planting and activities in the  garden. This will be the first season that our students will have a  chance to experience the new addition to the school. The garden  committee, with the help of the PTO, has purchased high quality seeds  from Johnny Seeds, an employed-owned company specializing in seeds  adaptable to our climate/zone. So we are all set with growing materials.  However, we need some tools and supplies for the garden. For a list of  the gardening supplies needed, please check the garden page at the Hardy  School website under “Classrooms”.

Hallway Painting
The remainder of the ground floor hallway at the  Hardy School will be painted during the end of school vacation week,  April 23rd & 24th. We will need as many parent volunteers as possible to  complete our beautification! If interested in donating your time, please  contact Sonia Lackey at soniahl@rcn.com.
