BUDGET – by Andy
-Appeal update. We are at $14,858. Middle of the pack of where we’ve been in previous years.
-Standard budget this year in that lots of fundraising efforts in the fall then springtime we spend the money on events and enrichment.
-Money spend on: Third graders to Legoland. Incoming puppet show for kindergartens. Michael Thompson forums are funded by all PTOs in Arlington. $74 for math weeks supply and paid for Dreambox for $600. RazKids hasn’t been supported by district other than for kindergarten. $642 on teacher supplementary. Teacher Appreciation week cash. HoeDown and literacy night requests, too. Income. Great on CDs $842. $50 in sweatshirts. $75 field day shirts. Box Tops about 241. 350 for walkathon.
KD – we have PTO funds she says to staff. Teachers worry about buying science supplies because we are in flux. So we are trying for social studies. We’ve given a lot of money for reading and math. If teachers don’t have a list. Then Special Ed teachers will request an Elmo projector.
Andy says we have an instructional materials $6500 and just spend $2000. The Mass Childrens book award comes from here. So PTO will give money to library to buy hardcover library books. And Mr. Hamm has $725 left in music fund. Art budget is unspent too.
