THANK YOU so much to all of the families who took part in our holiday gift drive at Hardy. We are waiting for a few more gifts to trickle in today, but the overwhelming generosity of community makes me so proud! Giant "Shout Out" to Darla Hart for helping sort and organize the gifts…it's fun to play Santa!!
Now…think back…before the Thanksgiving food drive…that spooky little holiday where kids carry cute little cardboard boxes around town…yup, you got it! UNICEF!!! Our community collected $1310.89! A big "Shout Out" to Julie Rosenberg for heading this charge and tallying all of that change! Well done AGAIN!
HARDY SPIRIT WEAR!!! Just in time for the holidays!
The first order has been placed..don't worry…we ordered extra. There is now a live link on the Hardy Website. Goto the home page and click on the PTO link and you will see "Hardy Spirit Wear". Hoodies are $25 each and run a bit small, so order a size up…better to have room to grow! At this point, we are working with a small company who has been very gracious helping us get up and running. This means we need to order in bulk, so we can not give a set delivery time at this point. BUT…if you need one before the holiday break, order soon and you should be able to have it December 19th!!! Might I also suggest buying one for your child's teacher as part of their holiday classroom gift…What a great idea!!!

*Autism-Friendly Performance: Saturday, Dec 14, Noon
Arlington Children's Theatre is excited to offer a special “Autism-Friendly”performance of Scrooge! The Musical, adapted specifically for children with autism or other sensory-related developmental disabilities, and their families. At these performances, the theater environment will be slightly altered, providing a safe, sensory-friendly and accessible theater experience for those on the autism spectrum. Adjustments to the production include maintaining a comfortable sound level, the elimination of loud and sudden noises and flashing lights, as well as keeping the house lights on, but dimmed throughout the performance. Our goal is to create a comfortable and judgment-free space that is welcoming for these families. Autism-Friendly Performances are recommended for those families bringing a loved one with a developmental disability, and their teachers and advocates who are familiar with, and accepting of, behaviors exhibited by some individuals with autism. Tickets for this performance will be $8.
