I hope that this week has gone well for all. It's always a bit hectic getting back into the swing of school and activities, but it's nice to once again have a schedule. The PTO has a few events coming up, and I wanted to make sure that if you had time, you could join us for some of these. Here is the list with a little blurb about them.
Tues. 9/15, 8:10 a.m. Welcome Coffee for the Kindergarten parents. If you are a returning parent and have a few minutes available, please help us welcome Kindergarten parents into our Hardy community.
Tues. 9/15, 6:30-8 p.m. PTO meeting in the Hardy library (2nd floor). All are welcome. The PTO cannot function without parents. Please join us if you can for this meeting. This is not a commitment to make every single last meeting and participate in every single last event. If you cannot make the meeting but would like to be involved, please let us know. You can find us at the Hardy school website.
Fri. 9/18, 6-7:30 p.m. Ice-Cream Social Please join us for our ice-cream social. For a small donation, you will get a bowl in which either our 5th graders or our Hardy teachers will scoop any flavor of Chilly Cow ice-cream you desire. Seconds and more are encouraged. All are welcome to our first PTO sponsored event.
Thurs. 10/1 Picture day! Please contact Jen Roderick to help her organize the children (email@example.com).
Thurs. 10/8 Back to School Night. If you need a babysitter, make sure to book him/her now as this is an adult only event! More details forthcoming from Ms. DeFrancisco.
Also, if your daughter is interested in Girl Scouts, there will be an informational meeting on Thurs. 9/24. See attached flyer.

Help the PTO File their Taxes
Your previous PTO co-treasurers are looking for a parent volunteer to file the Hardy PTO tax returns (Form 990EZ). The PTO pays a CPA approximately $400 every year to file what we think is basic tax forms. If a CPA offered pro bono services, it would be a huge benefit to us, and we could spend that $400 on our kids and teachers/staff.
